Non fa bene stare svegli in una casa vuota, se la tua ragazza è lontana. È triste essere soli in una casa vuota quando la tua ragazza è lontana. Io ho una fortuna, il gatto che abbiamo è un cane. O meglio, è un gatto tutta la vita, passa tutto il suo tempo o a dormire o a pulirsi, epperò è un gatto che ama le persone. Nei primi giorni dopo la partenza della mia bella io ero in ferie e ammalato, quindi tutto il giorno in casa. Lui non si muoveva dal mio fianco. Dormivo? Lui dormiva con me. Mi alzavo e andavo a fare colazione? Eccolo che si appallottolava sotto il tavolo della cucina. Mi mettevo sul balcone? Arrivava sul balcone a sedersi sulla sedia al fianco. Ora lavoro, quindi non sto a casa molto. E così ha cominciato a tornare a sedersi sulle mie ginocchia quando lavoro al computer. E se mi alzo mi fotte il posto in tempo zero. Le puntate che stavo vedendo erano tristi, ci credete che il gatto mi guardava preoccupato? Non ci credete? Credeteci. Dio salvi il gatto. (E Victoria ama i gatti, ma non il musical, l'animale, mentre Ted ama i cani. Pure Robin ama i cani, ne ha cinque. Ma i cani puzzano. Porco cane!)

I've got some luck, the cat that we've got it's a dog. Or better, it's a whole cat, half day he sleeps, half day he cleans himself, but it's a cat who loves people. In the first days of my loneliness I was on holidays and sick, so the whole day I was stuck at home. He never moved away from my side. I was sleeping? He was sleeping with me. I woke up and hate breakfast? He was just below the kitchen table. I moved on the balcony? He sat on the chair beside mine. Now I work and so I'm not that much at home. And so he started again to sit on my lap when I work at the computer. And if I stand he steal the chair in no time. The episodes I'm watching are a bit sad, and he is looking at me worried. God save the cat. (And Victoria loves cats, not the musical, the animal, while Ted loves dogs. Robin too loves dogs, she's got five. But dogs stink.)
